New Clip of the Week 02/03/13

Post by Walter Stettner »

Good Morning!

Sorry for the interruption last week but my internet connection was down and I had to wait a few days before my provider was able to fix the problem.

This week's clip takes us back to 1952:

Enjoy the music!

Sure does sound like Faron Young singing and I'll guess Buddy Emmons on steel guitar.

The singer is Jim Eanes who turned more towards Bluegrass in his later years. Steel player is Bob Foster, one of the great "unknown" players of the 1950s.

When you look through the sessionographies from the '50's you see Pete Drake - Jimmy Day - Ben Keith - Walter Haynes - Buddy Emmons - Don Helms. And then you see Bob Foster, too.
