Ward Skinner - Mission, TX

Post by Lee Baucum »

Ward didn't post on here much; however, I know quite a few of you had developed a friendship with him.

Ward passed away on Wednesday. He had just turned 61 years of age. Way too young...

They had a nice funeral for Ward yesterday. Standing room only in the chapel.

There was no music playing, until it was time for the family members to enter. At that time, they played a very, very nice pedal-steel recording of Farewell Party.

Oh my gosh! I can't believe this. Ward was a good friend; we developed a nice friendship after I met him when I played for Bush in McAllen, and saw him on occasion when I played down that way with Zona Jones later on. I will certainly miss Ward.

My condolences to his family. Jody
