New Weissenborn recording

Post by Tonu Timm »

Made another duo-recording with acoustic guitar and Weissenborn. Weissenborn got all the fills and solo (and I'm singing in this one too:)

Thank You, Tucker! I'm still the only Weissenborn player here in Estonia.
No teachers, no instructions. But luckily we got internet:)

It's similar to Scheerhorn bar, not sure about its brand thought. Got it as a present from a dobro playin' friend about 15 years ago. It looked quite 'used ' even then, but felt much better than Stevens. And it still works:) Actually I've been thinking of ordering new one, so I purchased Shubb GS but :( never used it - not for my short fingers.

Maybe Dunlop Lap Dawg Tone Bar is similar. I should purchase one of that type as my old one is too worn out.

Hi Tonu. I stumbled across your marvelous recording today and it's a treat. As a player I admire anyone who can sing and play slide guitar at the same time.
Anytime you feel like a adding another weissenborn to your collection, give me a call at Burgin Guitars, New Zealand. Here's my website www.burginguitars.co.nz

All the best with your playing.
Regards
Paddy Burgin
