There will be a service at Collins Funeral Home in Silver Spring, Md ... Feb 17 ... 2-4 pm.
Steve came to my home many times, usually with Dave Giegerich ... He always brought a "growler" or two of fine ale ... We'd laugh and play steel ... Then laugh some more.
Oh man, I'm sorry to hear this. We had a few good interactions and there was no doubt about the quality of the guy, which you could tell by his forum presence as well. I'm sorry for your more personal loss, Rick.
I met Steve at Rick's house also.....he was one of the good guys and always positive......and intense in the best way with regard to the steel guitar.....RIP my friend......you will be missed....
Sad to hear. He was a great guy. In fact, I remember him saying, "Jeff, are you an Ale man?" as he poured me a glass of his favorite ale. We had lots of laughs that weekend....it was "The Summit". He shared a love of steel guitar with us all. My thoughts are with his family and loved ones. RIP, Steve.
Rick I am sorry for the loss of your friend. We just lost a former classmate friend of 65 years. Our thoughs and prayers are with you and his family during this difficult time..
