Add A New Hard Drive Or Replacing It

Post by Bo Borland »

I re built an HP PC and added the old HD from my pc that had fried electrolytic Caps..
It is a XP PRO version of Windows.
With help fro the WIZ, I was able to access the files and programs I needed.

The original C drive HD is only a 38GB , and only has a 500MB available and I can't load all my music in to ITUNES.

The E drive is a 150GB with 14+GB open ..

Any suggestions?
If i buy a new HD will i have to load a new Windows in to it?

Keep the operating system and basic Windows program files on the C drive. Install working directories and accessory programs onto the E drive which as more room.

Also, move all images, videos, etc off the C drive onto the E drive. Add an external USB drive if you have to.
