New Clip of the Week 12/09/12

Post by Walter Stettner »

Good Morning,

What a nasty flu this was. Can't think of ever having anything like this one. I'm still drinking tons of hot tea and stay close to bed, but speaking of something different - Here's an instrumental that was probably recorded around 1960:

Enjoy the music!

Best Regards, Walter

Boy a lot of names come up but I keep going Back to Noel Boggs...maybe I should stay there.

They told me years ago when I got COPD from playing in smokey bars all those years...never ever forget to get your flu shot every year and I've done that ! Suffice it to say I can still listen to your music on the Forum !!

Noel Boggs for sure. Played on his A6th tuning. Noel wrote and recorded this with Hank Penny in earlier years. Also recorded it with the Spade Cooley Big Band. Not sure of the Lead Guitar player. Maybe Jimmy Bryant or Roy Lannum ?

Yes, that is Noel Boggs. Not sure about the guitar player, too. Sounds like a slick studio recording, so maybe Roy Lanham is a good guess.

Kind Regards, Walter
