Jack H. Simpson,75, died Friday November 30,2012.He lived in Hoopeston Illinois and played bass and sang around Central Illinois for more than 50 years. He was one of my favorite singers. Visitation for Jack will be at the Anderson Funeral Home Hoopeston, Illinois Sunday December 2 from 4-8 pm and funeral will be Monday at 11 am at the funeral home. Lyle...thanks for posting this, I did get an email from Johnny Spaugh yesterday with the same news. I worked with Jack many times back in the 1960-70s when I still lived in Illinois. He was a real country singer and may he rest in peace.

Very sorry to hear that Jack has gone on.
I've played many a gig with him since the
mid-'90's and always enjoyed his songs and
choice of material and his friendly easy-going
character.
