an excellent chet atkins style guitarist/crooner.
lonnie threet, spent many years in the birmingham, alabama area, a retired trailways bus driver, he drove the silver eagle....roll on silver eagle.
he came back to greenville, mississippi several years ago to be near his aging mother and sister. i'm glad he did!
a first class southern gentleman of high standards.
lonnie passed this afternoon, i'm sure he's playing his own home comin' tonite in hillbilly heaven.
just want to let his friends back in 'bama know.
we appreciate what a treasure you loaned us!
truth be known, he was playin' when the bus pulled into the terminal gate...........
