Chris is a great player. He makes me want to take up lap steel actually. It's not something I've ever listened to a lot but after listening to Chris I've been trawling Youtube for other well known lap steel exponents. Cindy Cashdollar I was already familiar with. Also discovered a bunch of old stuff by someone called Buddy Merrill on early Lawrence Welk shows. Very impressive as well.
