Mr. Cope McDaniel Passed Oct.14th. RIP (Picture Added)

Post by Fred Justice »

A good friend and wonderful man, Mr. Cope McDaniel went to be with the Lord this morning (Oct.14th) at 5:25 AM
I don't have any of the arrangements yet, but will add them as I get them.
Cope and I go back to the early 60's and Cope was a monster steel player in those days, haven played for Jimmy Dickens, Justin Tubb, and many others.
Cope lived in Ridge Top (Nashville) for many years.
There is a lot to be said about Cope, but my mind is just preoccupied at the moment with his passing.
I love you Cope ole buddy, rest in peace with the Lord. :D

Fred, so sorry to hear about Cope. Thanks to you, we had the honor of having Cope on our KSGA show a couple of years ago. A really nice man and a great steel player. So sorry! Ray

He was such a great guy - and of course as most know a great steel player.

I have a great photo of he and I in Dallas a few years ago I will look it up and post it.

RIP Cope

This is very sad news. I've known Cope since I was 12 or 13 years old. He was a great man and a true friend.

I became acquainted with Cope a few short years ago. Our mutual love for the steel guitar bonded us almost immediately. I found out quickly of his love and devotion to God, his family, his country, and his friends.

He welcomed me into his heart and his home, and it was an honor and privilege to know him.

Cope, I will miss you. May God grant you rest and peace.
