A good friend and wonderful man, Mr. Cope McDaniel went to be with the Lord this morning (Oct.14th) at 5:25 AM
I don't have any of the arrangements yet, but will add them as I get them.
Cope and I go back to the early 60's and Cope was a monster steel player in those days, haven played for Jimmy Dickens, Justin Tubb, and many others.
Cope lived in Ridge Top (Nashville) for many years.
There is a lot to be said about Cope, but my mind is just preoccupied at the moment with his passing.
I love you Cope ole buddy, rest in peace with the Lord.

Fred, so sorry to hear about Cope. Thanks to you, we had the honor of having Cope on our KSGA show a couple of years ago. A really nice man and a great steel player. So sorry! Ray

Sad news. I had the pleasure of visiting and working with Cope a couple of years ago, what a nice guy and great steel player.
Rest in peace my friend,
...Roy
Cope was a great guy.....he came toPhoenix a couple of years ago and played our SWSGA show....I remember going to Nashville in the 1960s when he had the first Nashville Steel Guitar Club. We will miss him,
I became acquainted with Cope a few short years ago. Our mutual love for the steel guitar bonded us almost immediately. I found out quickly of his love and devotion to God, his family, his country, and his friends.
He welcomed me into his heart and his home, and it was an honor and privilege to know him.
Cope, I will miss you. May God grant you rest and peace.
I know this is late but cope and Irene are very good friends. how sorry I am to here of his passing. but I know he is with the lord now, praise God. my prayers go out to his family & friends. Jerry & Dee F.
