Beauty & The Beast - Doug Stock "LIVE"

Post by Bill Ferguson »

Here's a clip of an old friend of mine I have not seen in over 20 years.
I was going through some old video and spotted this one I made at the 1994 Smoky Mountain Jamboree in Knoxville, TN.

This shows how versitile the E9 neck is if you have imagination.

Enjoy and I welcome comments.

Thanks for posting, Bill. This is one of my favourite tunes to play although I can't always get the right changes played by the band! I use my 9th string lower a lot for it and sometimes get a bit teary hearing the melody - even when it's me playing it!!!

Yes, I knew that, Bill - thanks. We have the DVD at home and, even without there being a child anywhere in our lives, we can often be found viewing it - that's if we're not looking at 'The Wizard Of Oz'!

'Tale As Old As Time...' - it's a lovely song that deservedly won an Oscar.

Ooops! I should have worked that out...

I'm doing just fine, thanks - still pulling the wool over their eyes! See you down the road, I hope.

I've met Doug several times, here in Florida. He's been to our steel club once. Last I knew, he moved back to NE Iowa about 5 or 6 years ago. He had worked at Church Street Station in Orlando for many years and then a local Opry show in Eustus Fl (with super lead guitar player Forrest Rogers).
