YouTube Flash videos on a Mac?

Post by Richard Sinkler »

I have a student who just jumped from a PC to a Mac (and really regretting it). He is unable to play many YouTube videos, and I am assuming they are flash videos that the Mac won't play because of no Flash support (thanks Mr. Jobs for that). Has anyone found some way to play flash videos on a Mac? He has OSX, and since the computer is only 2 weeks old, I have to assume it is the latest version.

Also, I gave him a bunch of Mp4 videos and his Mac won't play them either.

Richard, I use a really new Mac, and have no such problems. He should try reinstalling flash, or using a different browser. Opera seems really smooth for macs.

Flash isn't available on mobile iOS, but certainly is on macs.
