Getting BIAB to play the song that's picked

Post by Ken Lang »

When I installed BIAB 12 on my computer, the selection
process has changed. When you select BIAB or any BIAB song, it starts out with the blank BIAB default page, where you would start a new song.

I want it to go directly to a song I have worked on, and not to the beginning page. I talked to a rep at BIAB who said you have to start that way and after you go to a song and save it, it will start on that song.

I'm not sure that happens either. The fix must be in the start command, to change the way it starts. I'm not smart enough to make the change. Anyone found it yet?

:) Certainly, open biab, click file in the upper left corner, choose file utilities from the drop down menu, choose associate file types with windows from that menu. Then tap your heels together 3 time and cross your fingers. 8)

Not exactly sure what you're asking but I'm thinking
this might cause it to act the way you want it to.
(this is for Windows, but likely Mac will do the same):
Go to 'Opt.', go to Preferences then under where it
says 'At Program Bootup' select 'Open Previous Song'.

Joe had it right. I followed his route and now BIAB opens to the song I have selected with no problem.
Thank's Joe.

I didn't tap my heels together as I had my slippers on,
but I crossed my legs.

Joe and Russ are both right, but we're talking about two different things.

Joe - This refers to finding a song on your computer and clicking on it. If the file is associated with BIAB, as Joe mentions, then it automatically opens BIAB.

Russ - Russ is referencing what happens when you open BIAB. This can be set, as Russ mentions, to automatically open the last song you were working on.

Worth mentioning if anyone doesn't know. Clicking on the "F" beside song or style brings up a list of the last several songs, or styles, that you have used.
