Pastor and Music Evangelist Lowell Lundstrom passed away last week. He was one of the few Gospel Groups that had a Steel Guitar player with him most of the time. Bill Simmons played with him for years. It was due to Lowell that I became aware of the Steel Guitar and fell in love with Bills playing! Lowell had a nationwide radio program as well as numerous TV Specials and hosted many many crusades. PRAY FOR HIS FAMILY DURING THIS TOUGH TIME!

The family also lost their mother Connie back in December. Keep the family in prayer.

Yes Kevin you are correct! But they are together as a team again! And I cant help but think Bill Simmons was probably standing right there greeting him along with Connie!

This is a hard one to hear. The family, as you said Kevin, just lost Lowell's wife Connie in December. And just like you, Chad, Bill Simmons is one of the reasons I became a pedal steel player way back in the 70's. I seen the Lundstroms at a crusade in Hibbing, Minnesota and Bill was there with Lowell and Connie.

God Bless the family at this great time of loss, but for what it's worth, he is again with his beloved Connie and also with Bill.

They were a great team.
