Ron;
Try updating Adobe Flash for all browsers. Old versions produced mixed results and are vulnerable to being exploited by Russian attack kits.

Hi Wiz, thanks for getting back with me. I had this version 11.3.300.265 on my Firefox and what it would do was stop me from seeing Some Youtube video's but not all of them and it was on when I tried to do the Soundcloud. I took it off and I was able to see all of the Youtube then but still can't get soundcloud to play. It used to work but now I dumb founded as to what happen. I'll try the Adobe Flash again and see what happens and I'll let you know ...Thanks again....Ron

If Flash fails you, you can watch YouTube videos in HTML 5 format, which is supported by Firefox and Google Chrome and partially by Internet Exploder.

I had a similar issue and here is what worked for me. Do you have Real Player? If so, close your browser, open Real Player and go to the pull down menu in the upper left corner. Navigate: Preferences - Downloading and recording - then un-check the box that says "enable web downloading and recording for these web browsers". Close Real Player and then check to see if your problem is solved. Apparently Real Player is not playing nice with 11.3 versions of Flash in Firefox browsers. At least its what Ive read online and this did work for me. Before I did this I could not get any video at all to play with my current browser which is "Pale Moon" and based on Firefox.

I can watch all youtube video's with out the Adobe Flash up grade but I still cannot play Soundcloud files. My mouse turns into a hand that makes me think it will play but when I click it nothing happens. I can't get any files on SoundCloud to play. I did change the Realplayer like you said Gary but just getting rid of the Flash took care of that problem but My real issue is my SoundCloud does not play the music files and it used to work great...thanks to both of you for your help....Ron

Ron;
There is a clickable link on HTML 5.0 encoded pages that switches the delivery vehicle from Flash to HTML 5. There is also a JavaScript detection function that detects Apple i-devices and automatically switches them to HTML 5 as well (Apple products do not support Adobe Flash).

You must be browsing YouTube with a very current browser to render HTML 5 at all. This leaves out all versions of Internet Exploder prior to 9.0. although there may be some limited support in IE 8.0.

Your best bet is to browse with either Firefox 13+ (v14 was just released this week), or Google Chrome 20.x
