Thx Mike for the lick i kick my lead off at the 7:55 mark on this clip.

I've heard and watched you play this and i finally figured it out. Awesome man!

Well the rest of the lead was made up but i probably learned it from Tommy White cause i listen to him everyday! :D

This is the little Opry show in West Columbia, SC i sit in at once a month. Fun stuff!

Thx Ron!
Well I made the solo up on the fly but the kick off lick belongs to Mike Johnson or at least I've heard him use it more than anyone! The rest of it was just what I felt at the time I was playin it.

Hey I ain't nobody but if there's enough interest I"ll work up a clip on how I played it. The tune is "Silver wings"

Anyways, thx everybody but I am the player I am thx to Tommy White, Buddy Emmons, Paul Franklin, Lloyd Green and the list gets long. These guys are steel players I'm just a nobody that loves steel!

Hey, brother... Gotta love it when the band gives you plenty of room. Talk to um about that camera angle though, I couldn't steal all them hot licks I wanted to.

Nice man, still looking to be there at one of your gigs one of these days.

Thx Mr. Sexton!

Yea, they would rather hear me than see me!
The bass player and drummer have played with me for over 30 years here and there.
Thye are brothers so its pretty cool how they know each others playin so well.

Very nervous right now cause i'm playin the Opry this saturday night.
Either Tommy White (My hero) or Paul Franklin will be there. I couldn't carry these two guys steel case.
But can't wait to add this show to my top places i've ever played!

All the best to you man....k-man

That is some great playing Kenny. You mentioned that if there was enough interest you would make up a clip. I'm in on that one. The intro is something I could use for when we play that song. Of course anything that any of us can steal from Mike is worth its weight in gold. Do please let me know if you chart this intro out. I for one will do my woodsheding. thank-you in advance.

Hi Kenny,
Love the solo. Great tone as well. I'd love to see some tab of the kick-off to the solo. Unfortunately I'm in South Africa, so there's not a chance I can see MJ playing live.... I'd like to 'steal' that kick-off..... I sincerely hope you can find the time to tab it. Thanks in advance!

Thx Quentin,

I just have fun man! Been with MTB about 2 years now and have been blessed to play the Ryman and the Big Opry!

I'm playin this weekend but i'll try to do a short clip of what i played.
I'm not a good Tab guy so maybe Mr. Sexton can break it down for you guys.

A matter of fact, when i play i play what ever comes to mind at the time. Never play much of anything the same.

Anyways, thx for for the kind words.....kenny
