Hey Bob,
I agree with John, great playing. I hear a lot of Emmons in your licks, and that's a good thing!
About 15 years ago I recorded a version of "Put It Where You Want It," but I never released it. Frankly, it felt a little stiff to me, but I think you'll get a kick out of it anyway. Hearing your version made me realize what I was missing (or could have done differently)! I love that you harmonize the lick in different ways, and that you stretch out on your solo.
So here tis:

John,
Thanks for the kind words. I really enjoy sitting in with the Jeff Prine Group. Jeff loves the steel guitar and he lets me stretch!
Joe,
Thanks also for the kind words.
When it comes to this type of music, I find that Buddy's approach works best for me. His versions of ''Mardi Gras'' and ''The Great Stream'' on the live in St Louis album truly inspired me!
Over the years, I have also been heavily influenced by Paul Franklin's ''Play by Play'' album.
I really enjoyed your version of Put It Where You Want It. Thanks for posting it!
BTW, your album ''All Over The Road'' is one of my favourite recordings. You tested some new ground for the steel and I really appreciate that!
