Erickson pedal steel
A friend of mine who has a music store just took in an Erickson S-10 pedal steel. It has three pedals and two knee levers. He's a banjo and mandolin guy, so I told him I'd try to find out about it.
It seems to be in good shape (I'm a non-pedal guy), except that it's missing two of the pedal rods.
Can new rods be found? What kind of value does it have?
I'm waiting on him to email me some pictures that I can post here. Thanks!

Erickson
Guys,
From what I understand, Zane Beck used to offer a BMI kit and Alvin would buy them and assemble them and put his name on them. I'm not sure how many kits Alvin bought.
Hope this helps,
Dan

If you think a BMI rod will work, it looks like they are for sale on the BMI site...
http://www.beckmusicalinstruments.com/
(put your curser over BMI Products on the left side menu box - click on Parts List - scroll down about 3/4 to Pedal Rods)
You may want to check with BMI to compare your existing rod. Contact page...

Re: Erickson pedal steel
Anyone know where I might find tuning machines (Sperzels) for my 70s Erickson?

Re: CT Allen Erickson player
Real old post Richard, but JIC you haven't resolved that, CT Allen aka Albert Svendahl. Forum member, fine all around player, traveled, recorded and played with many artists. Also played the ISGC a few times. I believe he's from Minnesota.Richard Alderson wrote: 12 Apr 2022 4:19 am I can't shake the feeling that I have seen CT Allen somewhere before !
I know nothing about Erickson guitars Jeff, but if those Sperzels are the same as the late 70s, 80s versions used on Super Pros and other brands of guitars, you may not want them.
Those machines had issues about being terribly stiff making it hard to fine tune.
