Accidentally left an installation disc in the CD drive when restarting my XP Pro 'puter recently. Now upon starting each morning I get the error message that disc can't be found.......
Is there an easy way to remove that command from the Run function---it appears there every time.
Thanks in advance guys!
D:\cdsetup.exe ??

Re-install the software, on top of itself, using the CD. When the reinstallation completes, remove the disk and restart. The message should be gone.
If the message persists, use CCleaner to see what programs are in the startup list (Tools > Startup). If you find a reference to D:\cdsetup.exe, disable it using the disable or delete button.
