Another ? about Yahoo email - OK TO CLOSE

Post by Richard Sinkler »

The other thread about hijacking raised this question. Last week, my Yahoo email did something weird. When I opened Google Chrome, the regular home page didn't show up, but another Yahoo home page did. Not a big deal, but when I compose a new email and click the plus sign to open my contact list and select people to send it to, I get "No Contacts Found" in my list. But, if I open my contact list separately, all my contacts are there. If I use any other browser (this, along with the Google privacy policy changes, has actually caused me to switch to Firefox as my default browser) I have no problems.

I don't think this was from a hijacking, or is it? No one has received any weird emails from me that I know of. What could have caused that?

Could be a sign-in and cookie problem in Chrome. Check your settings to ensure that Yahoo is allowed to set cookies and that the browser remembers logins.

It's weird that it would just suddenly change, but I'll check it out. Thanks.

I guess it's OK to close this.
