Agreed
I agree with he sould have been on main stage.
I was in a band in the 80's had a band member take my steel to "REPAIR". I never saw it again ever. I had this guy arrested and ended up getting 450.00 total for a pak a seat,my Sho bud Pro 1 Goodrich photo pedal,BJ's Bar with my birthstone in I got for my b day.a Korg Chromatic tuner (over 200.00 then).
This guy went on to become well known... I was shunned in any picking event, also around steel events because of him. I totally quit going to any Conventions over it he would walk by me and smirk.
I was afraid I would lose it and get into trouble myself.. Coventions USED to be a bargain
now they are commercial at best, they used to be fun now it is about nothing but Money, once it was for the love of Steel guitars. What is admission these days? 40 or 50 bucks a DAY?. We came into the convention in 1980 on a sunday and Dewitt told me not to worry about paying because it was late in day.
Used to be Amatuers had a chance to play onstage now all the big guys have to show off their new roller bearing turbo tuner with phantom release module changer set up:)(made that up:). and the little man doesn't get to play. then one point the smaleer shows became the same way. We should start a venue where the little man can play to the crowd..
I would ten times rather hear someone like william or numerous other great players on the forum than seasoned pro's a lot of which only play commercial sounding stuff...well had to say this.
there are still people mad at ME over the true story I told so I will sign this.
STILL DOING TIME:)
