Uninstalling Epson

Post by jolynyk »

Running Windows 7 Home Edition. I'm trying to uninstall all my Epson printer stuff. I'm changing printers..
I went to programs & anything to do with Epson & had it's own Uninstall, I clicked on it.. Then I went to Add/Remove programs found some Epson stuff, & clicked Remove.. Epson Print CD is still on my desktop, still listed in programs, & in Add Remove..even though it says remove successful..
Is there a program available that I can type in Epson, & it will remove everything associated with Epson ?... Will CC Cleaner do it??

CCleaner should find the leftovers in the Registry cleaner section. But, first try rebooting and see if you can run the CCleaner uninstaller against Epson. Then run the Registry cleaner section and delete all leftover entries pointing to Epson or its folders.

Next, navigate to Program Files and delete the Epson folder and its sub-directories. Then, go to Program Files > Common Files and delete any Epson folders present.

Go up in the directory tree to C:\Users\your_account_name\Application Data\ and look for anything Epson and delete them.

Finally, run CCleaner again to remove temp and deleted files. Then, run a followup Registry scan for any more remnants of Epson created by the above manual deletions.
