In the mid '80s I worked on and wrote an embedded system where the program used hexadecimal, binary, binary coded decimal, and binary floating point math.

The Knuth Volumes were my best friends....
Lawyers are done: Emmons SD-10, 3 Dekleys including a D10, NV400, and lots of effects units to cover my clams...
