Western Swing Authority...new CD coming....

Post by Peewee Charles »

Hi Steel Guitar family....Need your support, take a look & spread the word .... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jApkeZ4N40U
Looking forward to cutting another great Swing Album with my WSA family..lots of great standards, some originals & a few surprises!!!...What is very cool....When we meet our goal, 10% of the funds raised will go to the amazing folks at Musicounts, ....ensures that children in Canada, regardless of socio-economic circumstances and cultural background, have access to a music program through their school. This is an all or nothing pledge platform so we have to make, or exceed, our goal to get funded. Lets make this happen together!! Thanks for all of your support. Spread the word!!

Ed, I'll be there in line to get the first hot copy.
Folks, this is a labor of love by WSA and they hope for y'all's support. I hope I can come watch the recording being made as well...

WSA is definitely Canada's answer to the Time Jumpers IMHO.
Quality western swing from the little hamlet of Maryhill here in Ontario. They have such a unique thing going here, together with recording artist Paul Weber, who places his tavern "The Commercial" at their disposal every other Tuesday.
As well, a new idea that Paul has come up with lately with the Men of Steel jams once in a while is truly unique in this part of the world.
They have a great thing going here and I feel so privileged to be able to sit back and watch and listen!

WSA new CD

Post by Peewee Charles »

Thanks for the kind words Bent...I am so looking forward to cutting the new cd with this great bunch of musicians....We are very priveleged and thankful to Paul Weber at the Commercial in Maryhill, for the opportunity to play this great music every other Tuesday...as well, to all the great fans that come out to see us...The Timejumpers are a true inspiration to WSA & thank Paul, my idol, and the whole group for such great music....looking forward to a trip to Nashville to see them some day soon..As for the new cd...any support thru the pledge will truly help & again if we meet our goal, proceeds to such a great cause, ensuring that children, regardless of socio-economic circumstances and cultural background, have access to a music program through their school...I'm sure we can fit time in, for you to be at the recording...As always great to see you & thanks for all your support....PS you're a pretty good steel guitar builder too!!! Thanks everyone.... www.thewesternswingauthority.com see some great pics & video in action...
