That sounds like a less refined Alan Jackson to me. As for the steeler, as soon as I heard the first steel lick I thought Paul Franklin, so that is my final answer. Alan Jackson with Paul Franklin.

Yes, it is Alan Jackson with Paul Franklin. The album "New Traditional" was recorded in the early 1980s, before A.J. became a superstar. :)
