Rick Campbell and his "Band in the box made easy"

Post by Don Brown, Sr. »

I'm wondering just how many are reading this, that has purchased "Band in the box" also known as (BIAB) and after getting it, feels it's seemingly too complicated, and so it sits on the back burner, and isn't being used?

Well, if that is the case, then read on, your worries are over. I copied the next section from the BIAB topic of Mr. Rick Campbell, and as many of you know, he was selling his DVD's on how to use BIAB. However, I (as many others have, I'm sure) had seen so many instructions on youtube, as well as elsewhere and the instructors went so fast, that by the time they'd be clicking on this and that, and not saying exactly what they'd clicked on, and the next thing a box would come up, etc, etc, etc., that most would simply say, "Wow! Too complicated" and gave up before ever getting started.

It wasn't until lately that I contacted Rick to see about getting a copy of his DVD. Just to see if I could possibly learn how to use it. Well, the name of the DVD couldn't have been any better. "Band in the box Made Easy".

Below is a post from Rick, in the BIAB section of the forum:
The BIAB Made Easy DVD is no longer for sale. All I wanted to do was recover the expenses of producing it, and thanks to many of you, I was able to do this. I have decided to discontinue selling it and concentrate on other things.

The good news is that I have decided to make it public domain. Those of you that want the DVD, just ask someone to copy it for you. Whatever you work out with them for postage, etc... is between you and them, but please don't charge them for the DVD itself. If I can give it away, so can you.

This is my Christmas present to all of you guys. All I ask is if you like the DVD and it helps you with BIAB, please post some positive comments here for others to see.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to each of you and your loved ones.
Rick sent me out a copy, and I want to say, it's not just a another DVD, Rick is a great instructor, and gives you exactly what you need to get you up and running. And, he tells you ONLY what you NEED to know to have your copy of BIAB up and working, for making tracks to practice with, or to record with, etc.

The thing I really like about Rick's instruction, is that he does it in a very logical Step by Step, approach from beginning to end. From loading it on, and setting it up with only enough of what you DO Need to know, without weeding through all of the (too numerous to mention) other things that BIAB can and will do, that you DON'T need to know, in order to make backing tracks.

And, I might also add, that Rick is a great instructor, and just maybe he could be talked into doing more instruction work on BIAB?????? Maybe not, but you can be sure, it would be top of the line.

So do yourselves a favor, and if you don't have a copy of his DVD, and you're not able to use your copy of BIAB, then by all means, get it any way you can, because it WILL get you up and running your copy of BIAB.

Asking B0b if you'll be so kind as to leave this posted here for others coming along who would like to be using their BIAB too.

Rick, Thanks again, a whole bunch, for the excellent DVD.

Wishing everyone here a great New Year......... Don

Just an idea folks: If someone would do a few copies for B0B's forum for distribution I'm sure there are many people who would 'donate' to the forum to acquire a copy, helps them, and, the forum, and is a focal point for the DVD.

Post by Don Brown, Sr. »

Important, to anyone wanting a free copy of Rick's "Band In The Box Made Easy" here is where to download a copy from.

Please after downloading it and playing it, drop a post for Rick, as per his only request, in the kindness and generosity he showed, by allowing his work to become Public Domain, making it possible for everyone to get a copy.

I really must say, for a first time starter, he sure does a magnificient job of taking all of the fears and intimidation, out of trying to use "Band In The Box".

Here is the page url:

Click Here for Rick's "Band In The Box Made Easy"

Download the individual files. Then, after viewing Rick's Video a couple of times, go ahead and have a whole lot of fun, making your own backup tracks, the way YOU want them to be.

Thanks Rick, for what I say is simply a Great Video, Excellently done, and "Does do" what it's intended purpose was for, when making the DVD Video.

Many thanks to you for your genuine kindness!

Sincerely,
Don
