reese. just surfing youtube and ran across it. you could contact the person who posted it and see where it came from.
i talked to phil about the unit a few years before he passed. i wanted one so bad! he was nice enough to explain it on the phone and i got the impression that he might have wanted to try to have some more made or get another version made. never happened.
it was for sure a great sounding unit! and you are right about being way ahead of the curve. best to you.

That's just way too cool
I remember Phil Baugh playing one of these too. I don't recall knowing it was made by MSA though. At the time, I had my hands full with learning the psg, so never really looked into it.
I'd love to have one of these, but I'm sure the cost would be prohibitive for building such an instrument today.
Many thanks Bill. Cool promo for MSA too. Whaddya think Reece, any chance of it happening again

Bill H....Thank you for your response and comments. That unit was a dream of Phil Baugh, and he took to it like a duck to water.
Richard S....I agree with you, however putting it on a Dobro would be extremely difficult to achieve with the design we had.
Jerry O....As far as I know, MSA is the only company to have made such a unit.
Without market research and today's cost analysis, it's impossible to determine what the cost for such a unit would be today.
As far as producing them again, MSA would never say "never", but the odds are greatly against it.
