Jay's a monster guitarist who's one of LA's "go to" guys when quality, spot-on live performance backup work is needed. Besides being Barry Manilow's lead guitarist, Jay's a major session cat who's worked with everybody. He's been in the house band for American Idol, has backed Jewel on Leno- you name it, Jay's done it.
Next year at NAMM, I'm hoping to bring Jay into the lineup for the Acoustic Showcase that I host and that is coming into its' second year (this year to be held at Boulevard Music in Culver City with Canadian International Fingerstyle Guitar Champion Don Alder and Los Angeles Hawaiian Slack Key virtuoso Jim Kimo West.) Last year, Jay happened to be in the audience at Portfolio Coffeehouse in Long Beach and, after the show, expressed his interest in being a part of a showcase in the future. It will certainly happen!
