This has got to be one of my favorite steel intros/breaks. Every time I hear it my brain short circuits. I have no clue how to play it. Enjoy.

Great stuff. I think my fave is his intro/solo on Loretta's "One's on the Way".
Carter D10 8p/7k, Dekley S10 3p/4k C6 setup, Regal RD40 Dobro (D tuning), Recording King Professional Dobro (G tuning), NV400, NV112, Ibanez Gio guitar, Epiphone SG Special (open G slide and regular G tuning guitar) .

Playing for 55 years and still counting.

Great intro/break ...and so typical Hal.
Richard, That one's my favorite too. I met Hal once, at Jeff Newman's school, and I asked Hal to play One's on the Way. Hal tore into that intro rapid-fire. All of us were standing around with our mouths open.

Hello Brett,
thanks for pointing us to this beautiful song!
Great classic steel sound and playing, just how we like it....

I took a moment to listen closely and tabbed the intro for you.
Now your brain is shortcut-safe when you put the record on :D

Try and enjoy!
Merry Christmas

Pit
