You'd be happy to know Dickeys' still gettin it on! I talked to him last Saturday night (I told him I was there so I "could go to college") at a dance close to me here in Texas. He was with his brother-in-law (Darrell McCall) and I was mesmerized the whole time. He plays "sock-footed" and I asked him about that. He said it just gives him better control on the pedals. I'm very fortunate to live so close to such a GREAT talent and try to pick up on some experience from a master! An extremely friendly guy. I told him the point I was at on the steel (playing 1 year) and he told me to come see him sometime. Will do Dickey, since you only live 30 miles from me!

Man, that one is SO smooth it's unbelievable! I also asked Dicky where he was from originally. He told me Tulsa. I've heard and seen him several times in the last year also in that he does a lot of work (live and session) with his step-daughter - Amber Digby. Don't know if she is getting a lot of airplay in your part of the country, but whe is definitly coming on strong around here. However, the key thing is I get to hear and watch Dicky. You know he was recently inducted into the Hall of Fame, and is MUCH deserving!
