My first origional tune on the E9

Post by Phil Halton »

Here's a clip of a tune I wrote a while back while I was gun ho on learning the steel. I recently got the Carter out of mothballs and tried my luck at making a video recording. Its rough for sure, but I like it. I'm going to work on it with a rhythm track and see if I can't work out some more variations and do a better job of recording.

Hope you like it. As a beginner, or maybe early intermediate player, I'd be glad to hear any ideas or playing tips.

Hey Phil! :D (Hayton)
Congratulations, on your You Tube efforts.
You have the touch, and the talent. Keep up the good
work. I, for one will be listening! And by the way the Carter Starter I bought from you, served my purposes perfectly. :) Also, I see you are multi-talented, playing more than one instrument! So do I! :D We have a common ground. ;-) As I said, keep up the good work, you are on your way, and its sounding good!

Hello Ron, I'm glad the starter worked out well for you. It never sounded as good in my living room as it does in your studio. I checked out your youtube channel and I think its great music well played.

Hey Pete, you old hound dog, nice to hear from you. Merry Christmas, and my regards to the guys in the room.
