Tony Arrowood "Legend in My Time"

Post by Nick Reed »

Guys, Legend In My Time is a tune I've been playing around with for sometime now. I've found a great version on You-Tube, by North Carolina's best kept secret "Tony Arrowood". He plays his heart & soul out on this one boys. I think you oughta take a listen to it, very smooth!

Tony is one of my favorites as well. It's been a long time since he posted a song. Nick do you know if everything is ok with him?

I purchased 2 of Tonys CD's.Smartest thing I ever did. This man knows pedal steel inside out and backwards. what a tasteful player. I requested "under the double eagle" and I was blown away when he posted it. I don't beleive I will ever know 1/2 of what Tony has foregotten. He is by far my idol, I wish more players would listen to his music.I beleive his last post was "the chair" by George Straight. I as well would like to know if he is well.
Mr Romnes I admire your product. Very beautiful instruments. If I could ever afford one I'll call you.
Thanks for what you have provided to the pedal steel guitar world.
Respectfully Submitted.

Chuck, I was humbled by your message to me regarding my steels. It is so nice to get a surprise message like that and it really encourages me to keep going. I'll send you an email.

Re Tony: I didn't even know that he had made CD's. I agree with you all what you say about Tony. He plays with his heart and soul.
Could anybody tell me how to get in touch with him?
Never see him on here so I am leery of sending an email thru the forum...

I too would like to obtain a cd too. I tried his email, but it was "undeliverable". Can you see if Tony will post so that we can contact him? Thanks!

I can't seem to get through to Tonys email either. I know he lives in Concord North Carolina. Hopefully if we have any members that read this thread and live in or near that area, they will reach out to Tony so he can give the Forum a shout. It has been 2 years since he has posted on youtube. I do hope all is well.
