Paul, That ZB was the 1st D-11 that Zane built. Ser.# 1039. The guitar resides still with Rolene Brumley. Not only does it still look great, it plays and sounds incredible. Still has Tom's original 2 knee lever set up. In this video, his amp is a blackface Fender Twin with JBL D-120's in it. Tom was one of them that wrote the book on tone for sure!!!

Billy Knowles worked on that guitar a few years ago and brought it by my house to play before he shipped it back. What an instrument and what a feeling to play it!

Tom's tone on that ZB caused a lot of players to aquire a ZB including Bobby Garrett and myself. Jody.

That's just good,is all that is!Interesting to me Don Rich played some fills...he seldom(if ever)did that on ballads on the records...Tom played all the fills...and Don played 'em all on the uptempo things...just sayin...boy,that's great stuff! Thanks,Bob!

Paul,I believe that guy's name is Wayne Wilson...Doyle was a friend of mine and he was starting to do some stuff on his own around that time...sometimes he was there and sometimes he wasn't...sometimes he was the rhythm guitar player...take care.
