USB Interface Cakewalk UA-25EX

I'm wondering if anyone else is currently using, (or has in the past) used a Cakewalk UA-25EX USB Interface?

If so, did anyone find the direct monitoring while recording through CANS leaves a whole lot to be desired? Meaning to get the volume needed to hear yourself, it sounds very distorted?

Other than the above, it works great.
