Thanks for your post Roger, Its always great to listen to Bobby. I bought a brand new white MSA Classic from Bobby at the music center in Victoria, Texas in the early 70's. He even showed me how he played "Together Again" He is a super person and a super player...
Oh! I almost forgot, I did not have much money, So I put 50.00 down and financed the rest at the Victoria First National Bank at 28.00 per month.

Buying a new white MSA and taking lessons from Bobby Black many years ago was certainly on the up side for me.
But on the down side, I only had that MSA for 2 months and I gave to my brother Danny who joined the US Army Country band. It was a fine guitar. So I bought another MSA , this time a black Classic. from a gentleman from the Dallas TX. area, Mr. Chuck Jones. Chuck was a great player and person. He introduced me to Paul Brown (Buffalo), Johnny Duncan's manager and bass man at the time. I played some shows with them when I was not working at the Yellow Rose club in Corpus Christi Tx. I could not figure out why (or did not notice why) that black MSA Classic sounded so different and good. Chuck told me. Ron look closer. He had installed Emmons Pick ups on it. Both MSA's were great guitars.
