Asleep at the Wheel

Post by Jim Bob Sedgwick »

Yesterday, I was watching news. A trailer came across the bottom of the screen reporting that Asleep at the Wheel's bus was involved in an accident in Virginia. Supposedly 4 deaths. That's all there was. No names. I have seen nothing since yesterday concerning this accident.Has anyone heard anything about this?

JB, I think that the headlines read "Asleep At The Wheel" and was referring to a bus driver who went to sleep sometime back in Virginia. The crash did kill 4 people but the headline is evidently misleading we country music fans. I think all the boards investigating the wreck listed 'driver asleep at the wheel' as the cause of the accident.

The bus wreck you are referring to was not the music group "Asleep at the Wheel" that was merely the title of the article talking about the wreck involving a bus with many people on it.

Sorry Fred, your post wasn't there when I started writing mine. I guess the time I took to read the complete article and my slow typing skills put me behind you :-)

Thanks for clearing this up. I guess whoever wrote that article was unaware of a swing group called Asleep at the wheel.
