Former Western Mass Steeler Norm 'Pete' Duhart passes

Post by Joe Casey »

I just learned today that Pete Duhart passed on 4/6/11. Pete suffered a cripling stroke about 3 years ago and had recovered almost fully except for a slur in his speech. Pete was always a gentle man that loved the music he played on weekends. He also built a recording studio in Somers Ct. that he named after his Wife Vivian and daughter Kelly called it VI-KEL studios. I worked in Petes band when I first arrived in Massachusetts.I always found Pete to be a very honest and sincere person..He loved playing the Steel guitar and was one of the first to buy a DEKLEY trading in his Emmons..His main job was in Connecticut to which he retired from and soon after moved with wife Vivian and family to Oregon. Rest in piece old friend.
