BIAB files for '25 songs for lap steel guitar'

Post by Mitch Crane »

Anyone have the BIAB files for Doug Beaumier's "25 C6 tunes for lap steel guitar" book / cd ? I see that he offers them for his E9 book, but I don't see them offered for the 25 tunes package ?

I didn't do BIAB files for that book/CD, but I think someone on the forum may have done some... the chord tracks (without the melodies)...?

Thanks Doug... I've been really enjoying your book / cd and just got BIAB and would really love to have your backing tracks to 'play with' and make my own arrangements using your basics.

Mitch,

If you have a newer version of BIAB, you can use the Audio Chord Wizard to make a BIAB version of any audio file. Check out the instructions.

Rob,

I just tried the 'Audio Chord Wizard'... WOW, it's great. I imported one of Doug's backing tracks..Aloha Oe, and the wizard charted it all out correctly, transferred it to BIAB just perfectly !

I guess the tedious (fun ?) part is now weeding through all the styles to find an appropriate one to apply to the new, 'magicically' created file...

To avoid weeding through all the various styles... click on the Style button and when you get to the Style screen click on Search and enter a term like "shuffle", "swing", "Hawaiian", "Hank", or whatever else you may be looking for. That will narrow your search.
Also... you can hear how a style sounds without clicking on OK and returning to the main chart. Just let the song Play, click on Style button, and in the Style screen choose a style and click on Preview. You can preview several styles quickly by using the preview button, as long as the song continues to play.
