Thanks for the info Chuck. I'm familiar with Mike Headricks work, and I have some of his CD's. Great picker, and he sure knows the Mooney stuff. I didn't know that was him on the tribute song though - great picking on that one. I think I'm going to have to order some more of Mike's CD's with Mooney picking. I can't get enough of it.

Thank you for your interest in the song. Red Kilby and I did it last year in Dallas. My set was mainly a Ralph Mooney tribute and Moon was on the front row with a big smile. Chuck mentioned my CD tribute called "Moonshine". The song is also on that CD with Tommy Jennings (Waylon's brother) singing it. He sounds a LOT like "The Hoss".
All the tributes in the world would not be sufficient to pay proper homage to Moon for the music he has left us and the influence he's had on most or all of us. May God bless him forever!
