Kerry Schooley
A very good friend of mine, Kerry J. Schooley (aka Slim Volumes, Nick Offbeat, John Swan), died this morning, after suffering a heart attack last Thursday.
Kerry was an author and poet...he wrote about blues music, labour activism, and crime/mystery fiction (set in our hometown of Hamilton, Ontario).
He also performed his lyrics in a band with my dad and I, called Bumphead:

Kerry was one of the kindest, funniest, most thoughtful, enthusiastic, and caring people I've ever met. He was incredibly supportive of me, and many others. He'll definitely be missed very much.
