Buddy was one of my "heroes" when I started playing Pedal Steel. He was picking with ET at the time. Buddy and Leon were a great act.

I had to play this one at Medora throughout last Summer's gig ('09).

It was a constant challenge, and I never really nailed it! It was fun trying, though!

:whoa:  :aside:

Hi Jamie....that clip's been on the forum before or via a link...Amazing. I recall a quote from Buddy Emmons ... that he quit playing "his" version of steel guitar rag after he heard Buddy Charlton's version. Now that's something :) Hope you're enjoying your stay in the States, good on you, better than the one nighters like the last time I saw you at Rank's club in Mitcheldean Gloucestershire :) Take care.

Watch Buddy's pinky finger during the close-up shot of his hands on his ride.

I attended a county fair many years ago and ET and the Texas Droopydrawers were performing. When Buddy took a ride, I was just amazed at the way he danced all over the C6th pedals with both feet! :whoa:
