New Clip of the Week 06/27/10

Post by Walter Stettner »

Good Morning,

It's time for an older track this week, so we are going back to the late 1950s. Lots of piano on this one, but don't worry, there's also plenty of great steel work!

Enjoy the music!

Kind Regards, Walter

I'd say it's "Speedy" West.

Yes, it's one of the "lost" names from that era - Merrill E. Moore, accompanied by the top Capitol recording musicians from the West Coast, incl. Speedy West. :)

I've always been a Merrill E Moore fan, but I never knew it was Speedy West on steel. 8)

By the way, if you click on the original posting, you'll find that their "pick of the week" changes each week, so you won't be hearing the recording under discussion.
