six pack to go

Post by Brett Lanier »

We recorded this in Ian Thomas's house in march.

Ian Thomas - vocals, acoustic guitar
Joshua Panda - vocal harmony
Lowell Thompson - tele
Dan Davine - drums & recording
Ed Grasmeyer - acoustic bass
Brian Axford - piano,
Brian spent the day before tuning up the piano, it ended up a quarter tone flat

You have to click on my myspace, it's the last track on the player

I enjoyed it a lot. Good playing by all involved and a nice groove.

Glad you liked it Joachim. It's cool how you can listen to it so quickly all the way in Germany! It was all done with mics in Ian's living room in Knoxville. I like the sound of it done that way but unfortunately that means I couldn't pick which pass I liked the most.

We spent the week backing up Ian for two hours, then Panda. We had a lot of fun playing around the south, but had a close call when the breaks started smoking coming down 441 into Gatlinburg! Those smoky mountains are mighty steep. Luckily, Ed is a mechanic.
