Bob Wills Band

Here's a clip from a Western movie with Bob Wills & The Texas Playboys. The tune is: Stay All Night Stay A Little Longer.

Is that A Young Herb Remington on steel guitar?

Dunno who he is - he's good though.

Why are they wearing guns? Yeah I know, it's just a movie............typical Hollywood stereotyping though.

Joe Holley in black on the left with the fiddle;

Jimmy Wyble sitting to the right, in the black hat on the standard guitar.

The film is "Lawless Empire", from 1945.

Noel is playing an Epiphone Rocco double 8.

Definatly Noel Boggs. The Lead Standard Guitar player was the the great Jimmy Wyble. Jimmy went on to play with many pop jazz groups. He just recently passed on.
