Video clips from last Tues.... PSG & Uke duo

Post by Rick Schmidt »

Well...much in the same spirit as streaking naked through the neighborhood and putting my shortcomings out there for all to see...

Here's 17 clips from a steel/ukulele duo gig I did the other night in San Diego with my good friend, the talented Adrian Demain. Adrian is a GREAT guitarist, uke, vocalist and Hawaiian lap steeler. ( do a Youtube search under "Cheap Leis"!) When he asked me to do this gig I could hardly refuse, even though I really am not a Hawaiian style player. Playing next to him was intimidating knowing what I know about his great lap steel playing. BTW, Adrian is also a very well known skateboard pioneer...one of the first to shred in empty swimming pools with Tony Hawk etc.

This has been quite a year of playing out of my comfort zone, and this was no exception. I've never done a gig with the only other instrument so far up above middle C. Yikes! Ok, disclaimers are over, some better than others....here goes...

Rick, living in a high Sierra mountain town... I truely know this experience....(two guitars, and one is a PSG)... but my friend.... what excellence.

Thank you a thousand times for posting this, sweet as sugar!

Ahhh, if only the miles were less... well thankfully we have the forum!
