Hello my fellow steelers,
Here is a melody that I composed sometime ago after hurricane Katrina passed through that historic city. It is a melody reminiscent of the days of "Storyville", and the "French Ouarter," when all music seemed to evolve from deep within the soul.
I must warn you though, to "buckle up", when the transition from "steel" to "organ" takes effect after the melody has been set. At that time I was still trying to get control of the effect. I`m still trying! Enjoy!(I hope!) :

Hey Ron my friend...Love it !!!
I have loved New Orleans Jazz and Blues since I was about 14..played banjo in Jazz Band then
One of my ambitions was to go to N'awlins...which I achieved the year before Katrina....made friends with Jazz Musos....Hung out in places I had read about and dreamed about

Hi Ron. I love that jazz style of music and New Orleans jazz. I hooked up my Fender Telecaster and played along with ya. Great music my friend, keep posting more of your music. John
Another winner Ron. Thats the way it should be played. I saw nothing wrong with your "Transition". It sounded great, and added a little more flavour. Thanks much for sharing.
George...
Hi Guys!
I am truly sorry, to be so late in responding to your encouraging comments and remarks, but being that I am still a "serving" clergy person, there are some very rough "time" constraints sometimes, therefore I just can`t seem to keep everything in balance, but, I try!
Thanks to: Tony (Davis), John (McGothlin),and George (Brown), for all of your encouragement concerning this piece, for I am always pushing the envelope concerning the music in the style that I play. I am "Thankful", you enjoyed it! God Bless all!
