If you think the video is electrifying you should have seen it live. This is as good as it gets. Jessica, besides being a beautiful person, has a voice that makes you listen. She was great as was Carroll, Lynn and Bill. A great band.
And Clyde's performance, for lack of a better word, was just fantastic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have been blessed to have a hero become one of my best friends.

Thanks to all for the kind words, especially the comments on the band. These are great guys and gal to play music with. We have a lot of fun playing the stuff that we feel deserves another go round.

Great job as always Clyde!I like Billy Have had the great pleasure of a long time friendship with
all these guys and all are fine musicians and fine
people. This is the premier traditional country band
in eastern N.C.,and as for Clyde,he has for the past
forty years been the standard by which we his peers
have measured our successes and failures as steel
pickers. He is a class act on and off the stage.
Thanks Clyde! You are da man!

Emmons LeGrande

Post by Darrell Owens »

Clyde,

You just showed us all why we love that Emmons LeGrande. I have owned the PPs, and they are great, but the LeGrande has it's own tone and I love it.

Now, here is my Question - What amp are you playing it through? Your signature says you have a Nashville 112, but I suspect something else on that stage.?

Thanks Darrell, it is a NV112. It's back there in the dark, but you can make it out. It's sitting on a small rack that contains a Lexicon Alex that the steel goes thru and a wireless that I use for guitar (tele). Those Fenders you see are guitar amps.

Nashville 112

Post by Darrell Owens »

Clyde,

All I can say is Peavey needs to make you their POSTER BOY for the Nashville 112. It sounds great.

We all know that it takes the right combination to get the right tone. The right guitar, amp, effects, etc. but at the beginning of it all is the touch of the "Master's Hand". You have it, and express it well.

Just like always Clyde does a great job every time he plays. I'm honored to be able to say I have known Clyde for about 6 years and he had a bunch of us at a Steel Guitar class and I learned a lot from him.I just can't say enought about his great playing and a great sound and a great person. If only I could do half that good I would be happy.
