oh Bishop thanks for sharing and what a ride! sometimes music makes you tap your foot laugh and hollar! this tune does that for me. it bounces along so happy and so hard! i especially love the triplet lick at about 1:19. that's enough to make ya pray for rain!

Hi Guys!
I am sorry, that I`m little late with my opportunity to say: "thanks so much", for your encouraging remarks, and compliments on this video.
I say thanks because, I have never considered myself, much of a steel player, as so many talented musicians on this forum are. For me, this has always been a part time hobby, at this late date. I have been a steel player of sorts, for 57 years,who has never learned of the "proper" way to play this instrument, but I just keep trying to do the best I can. And every now and then, I bump into a melody that just comes to me. Sometimes it works, and sometimes it does not. (smile) So again, thanks again for the encouragement.

Again I must apologize for being late with my response to your encouraging comments, things for me have been overwelming. But I truly do "Thank You" for your encouragement. As I have said before. I realize that my style of playing is`nt within the normal parameters of most of the steel players on this forum. But it is, what it is, and I keep trying to do my best. Just a word of appreciation, for your loyalty, and support of my efforts to try to play this instrument.
Also, I have not forgotten, your request for a rendition of "How Great Thou Art". I am still attempting to pull it together for you, and while I am at it, please extend my futher apologies to your mother, I remember you said this song is among her favorites. Hi Tony (Dingus),
I`m glad you enjoyed the video.
I use what is known as the "open E" which is pretty much a standard tuning, with the extra four strings (on the ten string), corresponding to make an open chord to the key of "E". It is nothing fancy, just plain. I tune my guitar up one note to the key of "F", using the first string as my keynote string, and the rest of the strings corresponding to it. A very simple tuning.
