Virgil Lay a good man and friend has passed.He was a steel&guitar player he would help with any problem you would have with musical insterments.Also made a fine string for all stringed insterments.

Roger so sorry to hear your news, he was as you said a really nice man never too busy to give a stranger a tour of his factory and rightly proud of what he had created.He will be missed :cry:

Virgil was a very close friend of mine since he started his instrument repair.I lost contact after I left Ohio when I retired. Last saw him and jerry when Jerry B was working for him. Some times moving is like leaving the army as far as friends go.
But will always remember my friend.
