Well, I did a total redesign of my website, new host, new URL, new content, the whole nine yards.
It took a little bit of work , so I hope y'all enjoy. It is easier to edit this site, so I will be updating more frequently.
I've included a calendar of upcoming gigs, and info on the albums and rhythm tracks. Also coming tomorrow or Tuesday will be a further discussion/explanation of guitars I frequently receive questions about.
Herb,
Nice looking web site. Two questions for ya. For us non-pros, what is a skull orchard (I sorta get the picture, but I'm not sure what you mean.) Second, where was the home page photo shot?
Thanks

A skull orchard is a rough dancehall/bar/roadhouse.
The home page photo was taken July 4, 1992 at Port Arthur TX, on a gig with Johnny Bush and Johnny Gimble. The good looking a$$ on the fiddle player belongs to our brother Forumite Scott Moon .
Good website, Herb. But while the steel is definitely your primary instrument, you need to let everybody know the other instruments you play, and the website would be a good place for this information. Best, Boomer
When I first came on the forum in early 1999, I was so ignorant of what Herb Steiner had achieved.
Sure I knew his name from those great Jerry Jeff Walker recordings, but that was about it.
I'm happy to say that I know a little more and I'm even more happy to see the Herbster's new website. Very cool Herb.
You can go into stores all over Melbourne (Australia), and if it has anything but a top #40 approach you will find those cool Cornell Hurd albums (check out Herb's beard on some).
And Herb looks his swingin' Brazos Boy Best on the cover of Texas Dance Time!
